Christina Aguilera Masterclass Course Description
Learning how to sing might be a bit difficult, but it’s still an achievable goal, even for those who are doing it for fun. However, if you want to learn how to sing well – that’s a different story.
To become a great singer, you’ll need a proper course, music school, or any systematized program that will teach you all the necessary fundamentals. Luckily for us, there are plenty of interesting and effective courses available online that can take you from a complete beginner to a good singer.
This course is not one of them.
Don’t get me wrong. It is a great program. Learning from a world-famous musician with a unique voice and decades of experience in the industry obviously has a ton of value.
But it has value for someone who can already sing.
If you’re a complete beginner and you need a course to teach you the fundamentals of singing, Christina only briefly touches on this. She does not spend nearly enough time on this for here masterclass to be of much use to beginners.
This is not a full course in the usual sense, but more of a set of useful guides to improve your overall performance, both as an artist and a performer. It includes a lot of topics most lessons do not, like the artistic aspect and self-expression.
These are things only an experienced professional musician can teach well. You also get to learn about Christina’s career and musical journey, in her own words.
Given the price, there is a ton of value here. But again, if you are a beginner, get a course that covers the fundamentals instead. Once you know how to sing correctly, come back to this program and go through it then. You’ll get much more out of it that way.
Let’s take a closer look at the course, beginning with an overview. Then we will continue with the answer to a question very few people have, given the level of fame Ms. Aguilera has achieved. After that, we dive into the details of the course.

Who Is Christina Aguilera?
I doubt Christina Aguilera needs much introduction, but we’ll do it anyway. She started her singing career when she was only a kid and rose to fame in the late 1990s.
At the time of writing, she has released eight albums, some of which went multi-platinum in the US. She has also attained worldwide fame and made her way onto the charts of many different countries.
Her experience and success speak for themselves, and her musical style goes in many directions. Given her success in the industry and her powerful voice, there are no doubts about her credibility as a singer and performer.
90 Day Singer Philosophy
The final part of the course is interesting and tells you a lot about the program’s overall focus. You don’t see many online musician courses that focus on the implementation of techniques in live and studio settings. And the addition of the self-expression part is also very useful.
It just proves that the course is not the “conventional” program that gives you all the principles but never tells you what these things actually mean. After all, music is all about expressing yourself, and this course helps you become an artist and a performer, rather than just a singer.

She then presents some practical lessons for studio and live work. She even touches on topics like live and studio microphones, performance anxiety, and overcoming mistakes on the spot. The masterclass wraps up with a few lessons designed to help you find your own style and implement it in your artistic expression.
One really cool addition is an interactive “range finder” in the lesson on range. It uses you microphone to detect your vocal range!
What We Love About Christina Aguilera’s Masterclass
The most surprising thing, at least in our view, is the price. There are over three hours of video material from a superstar, and it’s still priced at a level even an amateur singer can afford.
What really makes this program worthwhile is the unique approach. We have yet to find another online singing course that focuses both on singing techniques and helping you express yourself through music.
Instead of a long and boring collection of lessons telling you about singing and music theory, you get a well-conceived course for anyone who wants to get right into the action. Yes, studio work and live performances take more than just one course to perfect, but Christina Aguilera’s Masterclass is a great place to start.
The video lessons are all extremely high quality, but you expect that from Masterclass and a professional like Christina. They have a larger budget than most vocal coaches and she also has her reputation to uphold. How would it look if she presented low-quality videos or useless lessons?
Finally, the lessons feel really personal. Christina teaches them in an intimate way that makes you feel like you are actually getting live private lessons from one of the world’s most famous singers. For many, that alone makes the course worth the money.
What We Didn’t Like About Christina Aguilera’s Course
Interestingly enough, one of its strengths is also its weakness. While it’s good to have a lot of areas covered in just one course, it’s too short to go really deep into any of the specific areas in detail.
What that means is that this is not the right course for a beginner looking to learn the fundamental techniques of singing. Those are touched on in the course, but Christina does not go into this in depth. Certainly not enough for a beginner to fully learn them.
This Masterclass is primarily for intermediate or advanced singers who already have the fundamentals down. In that case, you are getting invaluable advice to improve your voice and, perhaps more importantly, your artistry, performance and style, from someone who has decades of experience in the music industry.
Christina Aguilera Teaches Singing Vs 30 Day Singer
There’s another singing course that’s becoming increasingly popular these days. 30 Day Singer is getting a lot of attention due to its great teaching approach and the fact that it covers all the fundamental techniques a beginner needs.
For that reason, it is a bit difficult to compare it to Christina Aguilera’s course. Really, it’s difficult to compare any other course to Christina’s.
30 Day Singer is the right course for beginning vocalists. It will teach you the fundamentals, and also covers more advanced topics. It is a great course.
If you already know the fundamentals, 30 Day singer is less useful, but you can get a lot out of Christina’s Masterclass. The sections on artistic expression and performance are something you don’t see in any other courses.
If you are a beginner, read our 30 Day Singer review for more on this program.
Christina Aguilera Teaches Singing Review: Summary And Recommendation
Christina Aguilera Teaches Singing Masterclass is a great program that has some big advantages over other courses.
If you’re a young, talented singer who knows the basics (and perhaps already does some professional singing), but still lacks practical experience, Christina Aguilera Teaches Singing is one of the best ways to prepare yourself for live and studio settings.
Other musicians who could benefit are those who have some experience but are looking for ways to get into the professional or semi-pro circuit. You get first-hand advice from a professional singer with a unique voice who has decades of experience in the music business.
And there’s the artistic aspect that we mentioned, which is something you don’t see in internet-based courses. It’s an extremely important part of every musician’s journey and barely any music professor touches upon this.
This is an excellent course for those who can already sing, but it does not cover the basics in nearly enough detail to be useful for a beginner. For that reason, it gets a Musicaroo rating of 4.5 out of 5.
I did Superior Singing Method (I had purchased it before I saw the current reviews. That being said, despite what is written, mine was a very positive experience. I experienced good customer service and vocally the improvement in my singing is astonishing. I have completed the 8 week basic course and am using the exercises etc. With that course under my belt, am I knowledgable enough benefit from Christina’s masterclass?
You say you’ve seen a lot of improvement in your singing from that course, so I’m guessing you’ve got the basics down and know how to sing well. In that case, you could definitely benefit from this masterclass.
