Magic by Bruce Springsteen
Hauntingly beautiful is how we describe Bruce Springsteen’s Magic. The track is from Springsteen’s eleventh studio album of the same name, released in 2007.
Bruce explained the song’s meaning to Rolling Stone magazine in these words: “The song Magic is about living in a time when anything that is true can be made to seem like a lie and anything that is a lie can be made to seem true.” Even more relevant these days, don’t you think?
Magic by Kylie Minogue
This happy song by Kylie Minogue is sure to take you back to the disco era of the 80s and 90s. It is from Minogue’s 15th studio album, DISCO: Guest List Edition, released in 2020.

Christmas is a magical time of the year, and Celine Dion’s rich and classy voice takes it to a whole new level. You’ll surely want to add this wonderful song to your holiday playlist.

Magic Dance by David Bowie
Magic Dance is a song by David Bowie from the soundtrack of the fantasy film Labyrinth, released in 1986. The song has complex meanings and interpretations. It portrays Sarah’s (the protagonist’s) innocence and The Goblin King’s (played by Bowie) evilness.
At the same time, the Goblin King also has a heart: which viewers find out as the song progresses. However, his main aim is to tempt Sarah with illusions and challenges. The term “magic dance” also has a sexual innuendo.
Could It Be Magic by Barry Manilow
Could It Be Magic is a track from Manilow’s second studio album, Barry Manilow II, released in 1973. It became one of Manilow’s signature hits and showcased his talent for composing heartfelt ballads that resonated with audiences worldwide.
Barry Manilow’s voice is sweet, calming, and romantic. The singer believes that he has found “the one”. She is the answer to all his questions. Could It Be Magic is a dramatic ballad that portrays passionate longing. It also conveys the powerful feelings that two people in love experience when they are together.

The song is also about hanging onto a relationship. The singer views his beloved as more than skin and bones and tells her she is “elegance and freedom” personified.
Five Magics by Megadeth
Megadeth fans describe Five Magics as the heavy metal band’s “most technical, most aggressive, and fastest song” among all Megadeth tracks. That’s saying something. The track is from their album Rust in Peace, released in 1990.
The meaning of the song is centered on the concept of power and knowledge, as represented by the five magical arts: alchemy, sorcery, astrology, prophecy, and wizardry. The lyrics also delve into the allure and dangers of seeking such power and the consequences of wielding black magic recklessly.
Just Like Magic by Ariana Grande
Just Like Magic is from Ariana Grande’s sixth studio album, Positions, released in 2020. The song’s meaning revolves around the concepts of manifestation and self-empowerment.

A Kind Of Magic by Queen
A Kind of Magic is from Queen’s 1986 album of the same name. The song’s meaning is inspired by Highlander Duncan MacLeod’s statement about his immortality. Its lyrics also talk about a situation having one outcome that is bound to last for a long time.

Magical Mystery Tour by The Beatles
Magical Mystery Tour is a song by The Beatles from their album of the same name, released in 1967. The song is psychedelic in nature and reflects The Beatles’ experimental and imaginative approach to music.
It evokes a whimsical and surreal journey and was also part of the band’s Magical Mystery Tour film and album.
Magic by Coldplay
Magic is taken from Coldplay’s album Ghost Stories, released in 2014. The song has several different meanings, but mainly touches on the rekindling of a lost love.
Many believe that Chris Martin may have written the song about his relationship with Gwyneth Paltrow. Magic also describes the relationship of an on-again, off-again couple. Despite being “broken” into two over and over, it is still a magical experience for the singer.
Black Magic by Little Mix
Black Magic by Little Mix, from their third studio album Get Weird (2015), is an empowering pop anthem about breaking free from insecurities and embracing self-confidence.
The song is also about a woman’s sexual desire for a large black man. Its video depicts a group of girls performing black magic to gain the love of their romantic partners. So in that way, it is actually a song about black magic.
Little Miss Magic by Jimmy Buffett
Little Miss Magic is a heartfelt song by Jimmy Buffett, released in 1995 for his album Barometer Soup. Jimmy wrote this song for his daughter. It represents the enchanting and innocent nature of childhood and celebrates the magic and wonders that young children bring to the world.
I Put A Spell On You by Nina Simone
Nina Simone’s distinctive voice and passionate delivery make I Put A Spell on You one of her most iconic performances. The song is about a woman whose man cheats on her and lies to her. She is going to put a stop to his lying ways by putting a spell on him, because he is hers and hers alone.
Three Is A Magic Number by Blind Melon

Magic by Olivia Newton-John
Magic by Olivia Newton-John was released in 1980 for her album Xanadu. The love song was also featured in the movie Xanadu, starring Newton-John and Gene Kelly. The song talks about the emotional connection between two lovers. It also talks about dreams, destiny, and fate.
December Will Be Magic by Kate Bush
December Will Be Magic by Kate Bush is one of those (unfortunately) forgotten songs to add to your holiday playlist. It was released as a single in November 1980. Initially, it was not included in any albums but was later added to Bush’s compilation album, The Whole Story.
December Will Be Magic captures the anticipation and magical nature of the holiday season. It also expresses hope that December will be a magical and joyful time for everyone. Some experts believe that it may also have political undertones and refer to the “magical time” after President Bush was voted out of office.
Magic Road by Al Green
Al Green is a renowned soul and R&B singer, famous for hits like Let’s Stay Together and For The Good Times. In Magic Road, the singer talks about this dreamy place where all your dreams come true. The song also has religious undertones, with the singer praying to his almighty for blessings.
You’ve Got The Magic Touch by The Platters
Buck Ram wrote this great song, which was performed by The Platters in 1956. It went on to top the US Pop and R&B charts. It also ranked number 36 on Billboard’s Top 50 Singles of 1956.
Like all other songs from The Platters, You’ve Got a Magic Touch expresses a great deal in a few words. It conveys the extraordinary power of love and the effect it has on the singer. It also describes the magical enchantment of being in the presence of someone special who brightens and elevates the singer’s life.
