Description
Ibanez is thrilled to introduce the AZ2402 AZ Prestige Series 6-string Electric Guitar. Pushing the boundaries of playability and tone, the AZ2402 is designed for today's progressive players. Its S-TECH WOOD treated maple neck provides unparalleled stability and a playing feel akin to a well-loved guitar. New Hyperion pickups, developed with Seymour Duncan, deliver a balanced, dynamic tone from crystalline highs to tight lows.
S-TECH WOOD Neck Treatment Takes Playability to the Next Level
A first for guitar construction, the AZ2402's neck undergoes an S-TECH WOOD treatment, exposing the maple to nitrogen heating to increase durability, water resistance and tolerance for temperature changes. Sealed with an oil finish, the neck feels comfortably played-in. Its Oval C profile offers an easy grip for chording and a fast feel for soloing. Glowing side dots provide visibility on dark stages.
Hyperion Pickups Built for Versatility
Designed with Seymour Duncan, the AZ2402's Hyperion pickups are moderate output, using Alnico 5 magnets to maintain tonal clarity from clean to overdriven tones. The balanced voicing works equally well with effects. A dyna-MIX 10 switching system offers 10 pickup combinations to explore through a mini toggle and 5-way blade switch.
T1802 Bridge Provides Quick Response
A collaboration between Ibanez and GOTOH, the T1802 bridge features titanium saddles and a solid steel block for improved articulation and sustain. The narrow string spacing enables techniques like string skipping and hybrid picking. Stud lock screws and a 2-point floating system keep the AZ2402 in tune through all styles of play.
Ergonomic Body Shape and Components for Playing Comfort
The AZ2402's asymmetrical body contours to the player's form. A shallow rear body curve and deep forearm contour reduce fatigue. GOTOH H. . -M locking machine heads provide rock-solid tuning stability. A hardshell case protects your investment.
